Prior joining TechFund Europe Management, Pierre Taillardat founded an early stage venture firm, Sophia Euro Lab in January 2001. He was previously Director with Ernst & Young in charge of Corporate Finance activities for the Mediterranean Arc. He started his career in Banque Indosuez, first as Risk Manager responsible for the supervision of the bank's exposure in South East Asia and in the United States with a focus on structured financings, and then as a Senior Banker, for the Mediterranean Branche, in charge of the development of the main activities on a portfolio of corporates.

Mr. Taillardat serves and has served on the Boards of Lumilog, Open Plug, Medialive, Netinary, Seemage (Acquired by Dassault Systèmes) and Miyowa.
